  • Theologians may no longer worry about the nature of God, but filmmakers do. In five recent films (three of them less than two years old), we see images of God that arc both startling and traditional, images that are remarkably consistent and that, at the same time, demonstrate an astonishingly creative approach to fundamental religious questions. The five films are Oh, God!, All That Jaa, Always, Mr. Destiny, and Jacob's Ladder, in which God is represented by George Bums, Jessica Lange, Audrey Hep-burn, Michael Caine, and Danny Aiello, respectively.
