What the Wine? #1: Pinot Grigio from A Discovery of Witches S01E01
What wine are they drinking in the first episode of the first season of A Discovery of Witches?
As you can see on the screenshot above (from 26:08 of the episode) Gillian Chamberlain, played by Louise Brealey, is distressed and is drinking white wine. The wine’s name starts with Pin… Gri…, so it is a good guess that it is a Pinot Grigio. Unfortunately, in the scene, Gillian grabs the bottle in a way that one cannot see the label and then places it behind the plant on the table. I searched for Pinot Grigios but couldn’t identify which vineyard produced this bottle. Can you?
Where is it from? “A Discovery of Witches” is a British fantasy series that’s final, third season is screening now on Amazon Prime. Season 1 and Season 2 is already available on DVD.
