Red lips, red wine – “Madame” (2017) – Wine in Films #50
There are a lot of untouched wine glasses in Amanda Sthers‘s 2017 comedy, “Madame.” Half the film is preparation for a grand evening, where the table is already set. Finally, Rossy de Palma (discovered initially by Pedro Almodóvar) has a chance to sit down for a two-person meal in the 54th minute, but she still does not drink the wine. What a waste. Excellent absurd French comedy, starring Australian Toni Collette, and Brooklynite Harvey Keitel.
